Becky G is encouraging more open conversations about mental health while the Latin music industry recognizes women making an impact behind the scenes and onstage.
During the World Mental Health Day Festival in New York City on October 10, the singer spoke about identity, therapy, and the challenges of growing up in the public eye. In a conversation moderated by journalist Morgan Radford, Becky G addressed the importance of setting personal boundaries and finding ways to prioritize emotional well-being.
Her appearance highlighted the growing conversation around mental health in entertainment, particularly for artists navigating public expectations and personal challenges.
Meanwhile, the Latin Recording Academy is recognizing four influential women through its 2026 Leading Ladies of Entertainment initiative.
This year’s honorees include María Fernández, Sandra Jiménez, Salomé Limón, and Spanish singer Niña Pastori. The recognition celebrates their professional achievements and contributions to Latin music.
Together, these developments bring attention to two important topics within the music industry: supporting mental health and acknowledging the women helping shape Latin entertainment.
