Ray LaMontagne is recovering after collapsing onstage during a concert at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on September 5. During the performance, the singer-songwriter fell to the stage while performing Jolene, bringing the show to an early end.
Following the incident, LaMontagne’s team said he had been treated by local emergency medical personnel for heat-related dehydration and was doing well. The update reassured fans after videos from the concert showed the sudden moment he went down during the set.
Earlier in the same performance, LaMontagne had briefly stopped during Hannah after appearing to lose his place. The concert was later cut short as medical staff attended to him.
His management indicated that he planned to continue his Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour. LaMontagne returned to the stage the following night for a scheduled performance in Louisville, showing that the health issue had not forced an extended break from touring.
The singer has been marking two decades since the release of his debut album Trouble with the current run of shows.
