Lionel Richie checked himself into a hospital following a recent concert in St. Louis, with a source close to his tour saying the move was made out of an abundance of caution.
During the performance, Richie appeared to have some difficulty near the end of the show and completed his final song while seated. No additional details about his condition were immediately made public, and the hospitalization was described as precautionary.
The situation comes after another health-related interruption earlier in his tour. In June, Richie experienced dizziness during a performance in Minnesota. Doctors advised him to postpone two concerts, and he returned to the stage several days later.
Richie later reassured fans that he was doing well and expressed appreciation for their support.
The singer still has several performances on his schedule, including upcoming King of Hearts shows in Las Vegas during October and November. Any changes to those dates have not been announced.
